I’m excited to finally show off photos from Carly and Cam’s wedding day at Snow Hill Farm. And what a spectacular day it was! You definitely have to be a risk taker to have an outdoor wedding in Texas in the fall. One day it’s hot, next day it’s cold, next day it’s raining, next day hail! But if the odds are in your favor you can experience the finest crystal clear blue skies you have ever seen. Add to that a gentle Texas breeze, the snap of excitement in the air and you’ve got yourself a perfect wedding day!
the bridesmaids all wore cowboy boots, which was absolutely adorable.
Cam looking dapper
Carly was radiating with excitement that day! I just love seeing that anticipation and excitement (mixed with a little nervousness) from a bride on her wedding day. It never gets old.
Emotions were running high and Carly started to cry after she got her dress on. To cheer her up Carly’s mom broke it down with a little “It’s my Party and I’ll cry if I want to!” lol..definitely cheered me up!
And what a view! wow! Kudos to Sean for this shot!
You know, if I could get personal for just a minute, I love listening to the officiant speak during the ceremony. It is often a “refresher” for my own marriage. They speak of the fundamentals of marriage, the difficulties you will inevitably face and often they have very good, solid advice. After the excitement of the wedding day, a couple years and couple kids later, it’s easy to forget key elements to a successful marriage. And I appreciate being reminded of these from time to time.
Time to party!
everyone had a great time…
although I think these ladies may have scared this guy haha!
The DJ invited all married couples to the dance floor and one by one they had to leave depending on how many years they were married. These two couples remained after the 40 year mark and Carly gave the winner (44 years!) her bouquet. Totally sweet.
and they’re off! Congrats Carly and Cam!
